Aloha, I’m Theresa – also known by my Hawaiian name, Keleka.

Keleka Designs brings together my love of art, design, decorating, and the Aloha spirit.

I was raised in San Luis Obispo, California, and earned my BA in Visual and Public Art from California State University – Monterey Bay. My lifelong connection to the Hawaiian Islands has influenced my art, my love of music, and my appreciation for beauty and creativity.

​

I’ve been fortunate to grow up around many beautiful shores—from Shell Beach, Avila Beach, and Pismo Beach in California, to the Jersey Shore and, of course, the beautiful beaches of Hawai‘i. The Big Island holds a special place in my heart and feels like a second home.

​

For the past 25 years, I’ve worked as a marketing consultant, but art and design have always been a part of who I am. For me, creativity is about making ordinary moments and special occasions feel a little more memorable.

​

Through Keleka Designs, I bring that creativity into art, decorating, entertaining, and celebrating. I enjoy creating pieces and spaces that add personality, beauty, and a sense of occasion—from holiday and seasonal designs to tablescapes, celebrations, flameless candles, and tropical and Hawaiian-inspired artwork.

My flameless taper candles are designed to complement a variety of decorating styles and occasions, with collections ranging from Halloween and Christmas to patriotic designs, animal prints, and more. I love creating designs that are unexpected, fun, and make a space feel special.

The name Keleka reflects my lifelong connection to Hawai‘i and the warmth, creativity, and beauty that continue to inspire me.
